THE WARRIORS yesterday started trickling into camp at Pandhari Lodge ahead of their matches against Zambia and Botswana in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
The local based players who consist of Ian Nekati, Prince Dube, Partson Jaure, Simbarashe Chinani and Talbert Shumba and some foreign based stars who include Kuda Mahachi, Terrence Dzvukamanja and Thabani Kamusoko are already in camp.
The majority of the players are expected in camp today with Marvelous Nakamba expected to be in camp on Tuesday and Knowledge Musona on Thursday.
Warriors manager Wellington Mpandare confirmed the developments.
“Some players still have games that’s why they are not yet in camp.
“We are just hoping that there won’t be any injuries ahead of the games,” he said.
Warriors play Botswana on Friday evening and travel to play Zambia four days later.
The team is expected to have their first training session today afternoon at the National Sports Stadium.
Mpandare said the boys are in high spirits ahead of the game.
“The boys have shown a good response even from the call ups. They are excited we didn’t have problems and they are looking forward to make their country proud, “he said. Hmetro
