South Africa based female entrepreneur, Themby Titsha, is making waves across the Limpopo after being nominated for Women in Finance awards.

The awards ceremony will be held on November 2 in Sandton, courtesy of Woman of Stature Trust.

Speaking from her base in Johannesburg, Themby said:

“Nominations were based on recognised track record in respective field of nomination.

“I am humbled to be counted amongst women in great standing in their respective fields.

“Nominees are from 12 different professions, just being nominated and recognised for my contribution in the financial space really means a lot.

“I look forward to using the platform to collaborate with other women of influence in imparting lives of other women even beyond our SA borders,” she said.

She said it is a milestone to be rated among women of influence.

“Other women recognised for these awards include is Sport – SA’s netball captain Bongiwe Msomi, Saray Khumalo the first black woman to summit Everest, Bridgette Hartley South African’s sprint Canoer, Hafa Charfaray in Education, Dineo Molokoane – media personality and many others.”

Born and raised in Bulawayo, Themby is the brains behind Embrace Africa Concepts Group, an organisation which seeks to empower those in the low income bracket to access services.

“Embrace Africa Concepts Group was founded in 2015 and the first product being Embrace Africa Funerals which have since managed to break into Lesotho, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

“This was followed by Africa medical assistance as a way to offer medical assistance to those who cannot afford medical aid and Embrace Africa tracking services to cater a chance for those not insured to recover their cars in the event of theft.

“Recently, it launched a savings schemes to encourage a savings culture,” she added.

Prior to founding Embrace Africa, she was CEO of Therald Skies Investments (Zimbabwe) from 2011 – 2015.

She is also chairperson of Embrace Africa Community Foundation an NPO that does book donations to underprivileged schools and Build a dream mentorship within Inner-city Johannesburg.

To her credit, Themby was recognised  by Zimbabwe Excellency Awards Nominee – Female Entrepreneur 2018,  Zimbabwe Achievers Awards Nominee – Female Entrepreneur 2019, 2019 MIPAD 100 Nominee, AWIEF 2019 Nominee.

Woman of Stature Awards is a platform for women from all walks of life and is committed towards empowering women to live their purpose and reach their full potential. Hmetro
